City Center - Amsterdam

PROJECT LBS, hidden in plain sight, thrives amidst the lively charm of the Jordaan in Amsterdam’s city center. Monica van der Meulen collaborated with Beer Ischa @Pham Architects Amsterdam to create this striking mews house crafted from foundation to rooftop.

At the heart of this house lies a connection to nature. A serene garden featuring elegant Yucca trees and a skylight brings daylight, moonlight, and starry nights directly into the space, fostering a sense of harmony and tranquility.

Van der Meulen’s signature aesthetic is evident throughout, with natural sandy whites complementing oak wood and a rich palette of greens, ochres, and earthy terracottas. Handmade tiles from @newterracotta in Portugal bring depth and character to the interiors off-white for the kitchen, and forest green with dusty ink tones for the luxurious bathrooms on the second floor.

The result is a home that embodies more than just stylish design it’s a bold, gutsy sanctuary where every detail speaks to a heart-opening experience, whether you’re living here or simply passing through.
